- The article presents the changes in management concepts used in civil aviation business in last 25 years. There is a need to make prognosis and support decision-making processes with different models but each model is adapted to current management concept. This article will present the changes and possible future trends in management concepts with the description of strengths and weaknesses of each of them. These might be used in the future works on building the models to support decision making processes which is the final goal of the future works. The article consists of four main parts, first there is a market presented with the history and current changes. Next the main changes in management concepts are presented, basing on the example of one airline, LOT Polish Airlines. Part three consists of presentation of strengths and weaknesses of each management concept. The article is concluded and future works are presented in fourth section.
